MINUTES OF BOCC REGULAR MEETING

The Board of Commissioners of Grant County, Oklahoma (BOCC) held a regular meeting on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 9:00 am. Notice of the Meeting, including agenda, was posted at both entrances of the Grant County Courthouse, Medford, OK, Friday, March 7, 2025, prior to 9:00 am. in accordance with Title 25, §301-314 O.S. 

Fredrick called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. After roll call, a quorum was acknowledged. Present were Craig Fredrick, Steve Stinson, and Patrick Stepp. Also present were David Kretchmar, Penny Huff, Rachelle D McCaleb, Keb Lehenbauer, Tim Irvin. Donnie Head arrived at 9:30am and Lacy Reimer arrived at 9:57am. Teleconferencing was enabled to comply with the Open Meetings Act. Out of the commissioners Stinson and Fredrick used their signature stamps and hand signed as well. 

Stinson said a prayer and Stepp led the flag salute. 

Mccaleb acknowledged the agenda was properly posted in compliance with the Open Meeting Act. 

No comments from the public.

Stinson moved to approve the Fair Board to purchase LED sign from Fair Improvement Funds. Stepp seconded. Fredrick – aye; Stepp – aye: Stinson – aye; Motion carried. 

Stepp moved to approve Blanket Purchase Orders. Stinson seconded. Fredrick – aye; Stepp – aye: Stinson – aye: Motion carried.

Stinson moved to approve the OPEH&W membership plan. Grant County will continue with the Diamond Preferred Plan. Stepp seconded. Fredrick-aye; Stepp-aye; Stinson -aye; Motion carried. 

Mccaleb discussed two additional benefits with OPEH&W that are available now. Catapult Health and Free Diagnostic Imaging with Green Imaging. Email will be sent to each department with information to provide to employees.

Lacy Reimer with the Fair Board reviewed the quote for the LED sign and confirmed this quote does not include trenching and labor. They plan to complete the trenching first before putting in the sign.

Stinson moved to approve Grant County 522 Ambulance Board of Trustees Application. Stepp seconded. Fredrick – aye; Stepp – aye; Stinson – aye; Motion carried.

Stinson, (D3), reported he will be rock hauling and grading. He will be attending ACCO Breakfast and Capital visit and a lunch with Representative Pfeiffer. Auction items have sold. 

Stepp, (D1 ), reported they are grading roads and hauling off from reclaimed rock pile. 

Fredrick, (D2), reported they are working on 4 mile project on Osage Road and rocking.
