Treasurer, Penny Huff discussed Use Tax is currently going into County General Fund. Current Use Tax balance is $176,000.00. For auditing purposes and a clean paper trail it would be best to begin at new Fiscal Year to put the Use Tax monies into separate account to earmark for elevator and/or jail repairs. A resolution will be required to move money to a different account. New Business: Office of the District Attorney has requested lights to be put in the stairwell for after hours. Battery operated lights on Amazon for less than $20 has been discussed.
Suggested (2) for third floor and (2) for stairwell.
Stinson reported he went to the Capital last week and visited with Congressman regarding certain projects. He also attended the ACCO safety conference. They are hauling shale and need some rain to do more work on roads.
Stepp reported District 1 is hauling shale. They are not pursuing anything further regarding the vandalism at this time but hoping someone comes forward with more information. District 1 attended Argyle Jantzen’s funeral last Friday.
Fredrick reported District 2 is still moving rock on Osage road. They are switching out trucks on Tuesday. He also attended the ACCO conference. Lots of useful information and new technology were discussed for the Sheriff’s Office.
At 10:04 a.m. Stepp moved to adjourn. Stinson seconded. Fredrick -aye; Stepp -aye; Stinson -aye; Motion carried.
