Harper County Election

ELECTION 

ANNOUNCEMENT:

REGISTRATION for the November 7th Election will close at 5pm on Tuesday – Oct 17th; this is also the last date for this election that you can change your name or address.

ADVANCE BALLOTS will be processed starting Wednesday – October 18th.  The last day you may ‘request’ an Advance Ballot is Tuesday – October 31th (the State’s ruling).  These Ballots can be returned in person to the Election Office any time until  7pm on Election Day; if they are mailed, they must be post-marked by Election Day and received no later than the Friday after the Election to be eligible for scanning.

EARLY VOTING will start in our office on Wednesday – October 18th through Friday – November 6th (no weekends) 8am to 5pm; Monday, November 6st till Noon.

Machine Testing will be held in the office at 10AM on Monday– Oct 30th.

Jason Jump is an award-winning journalist and photographer. He has a wide range of education and experience. Jump started out his newspaper career as a sports editor for a daily paper in western Oklahoma. After a short stint in journalism he went on to coach basketball and teach from the junior high classroom all the way to college. He started an online newspaper in Texas and managed it for 10 years before moving to Kansas to purchase the Kingman Leader-Courier. Jump and his wife, Stephanie now own four newspapers in south central Kansas and north central Oklahoma via M3 Publishing, LLC.
