MINUTES OF BOCC REGULAR MEETING
The Board of Commissioners of Grant County, Oklahoma (BOCC) held a regular meeting Monday, December 23, 2024, at 9:00 am. Notice of the Meeting, including agenda, was posted at both entrances of the Grant County Courthouse, Medford, OK, Friday, December 20, 2024, prior to 9:00 am. in accordance with Title 25, §301-314 O.S.
Fredrick called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. After roll call, a quorum was acknowledged. Present were Craig A. Fredrick, Max L. Hess, and Steve Stinson. Also present were Katrina Stockton, Rachelle McCaleb, and Penny Huff. Teleconferencing was enabled to comply with the Open Meetings Act. All the commissioners, Fredrick, Hess, and Stinson, used their signature stamps and hand signed as well.
Hess said a prayer and Stinson led the flag salute.
Stockton acknowledged the agenda was properly posted in compliance with the Open Meeting Act.
No comments from the public.

Hess moved to acknowledge that the new sheriff wants to spend the Grant money differently. $25000 Travel. $100000 Capital Outlay. $125000 M&O. Fredrick seconded. Fredrick – aye; Hess – aye; Stinson – aye; Motion carried.
Stinson moved to approve Resolution 2024-163 for the Establishment of the new fund for Sheriff’s Funding Assisting Grant-1574. Hess seconded. Fredrick – aye; Hess – aye; Stinson – aye; Motion carried.
Fredrick moved to approve the ODOT supplemental and Modification and Right of Way Project No.: STP-224F(111)PART7CI. Hess seconded. Fredrick – aye; Hess – aye; Stinson – aye; Motion carried.
Hess moved to approve the Revocation of Receiving Officer Dessie Scott-D1. Stinson seconded. Fredrick – aye; Hess – aye; Stinson – Motion carried.
Hess moved to approve the Designation of Receiving Officer Brandie Gibson-D1. Stinson seconded. Fredrick – aye; Hess – aye; Stinson – aye; Motion carried.
No new business.
Stinson mentioned that District 3 has been shorthanded this week. Stinson will be meeting with a farmer about drainage issues. D3 is grading and hauling rock.
Hess mentioned that District 1 will be removing a driveway that was installed using wet dirt which made it spongy and will be replaced with good dirt. D1 is grading and hauling rock.
Fredrick mentioned that District 2 will be moving rock to fill a ditch for additional parking. Along with rocking in some areas that have shallow rock as well as other areas around Deer Creek. Merry Christmas.
