MINUTES OF BOCC REGULAR MEETING
The Board of Commissioners of Grant County, Oklahoma (BOCC) held a regular meeting Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. Notice of the Meeting, including agenda, was posted at both entrances of the Grant County Courthouse, Medford, OK, Tuesday, January 7, 2025, prior to 12:00 p.m. in accordance with Title 25, §301-314 O.S.
Fredrick called the meeting to order at 9:02 a.m. After roll call, a quorum was acknowledged. Present were Craig A. Fredrick, Max L. Hess, and Steve Stinson. Also present were Rachelle D McCaleb, Katrina Stockton, and Penny Huff. Teleconferencing was enabled to comply with the Open Meetings Act. Out of the commissioners Fredrick, Hess, and Stinson used their signature stamps and hand signed as well.
Hess said a prayer and Stinson led the flag salute.
Stockton acknowledged the agenda was properly posted in compliance with the Open Meeting Act.
No comments from the public. No Transfer of Appropriations. No Blanket Purchase Orders.
No Purchase Orders and Travel Claims.
Hess moved to approve the Regular Payroll for Officers/Employees for December 2024 to be disbursed in January 2025. Stinson seconded. Fredrick – aye; Hess – aye; Stinson – aye; Motion carried.
Stinson moved to approve the Statutory Travel for Elected Officers for December 2024 to be disbursed in January 2025. Hess seconded. Fredrick – aye; Hess – aye; Stinson – aye; Motion carried.
Hess moved to approve the Monthly Appropriations. Stinson seconded. Fredrick- aye; Hess – aye; Stinson – aye; Motion carried.
Stinson moved to approve the Monthly Mortgage Tax & Certification Fee for December 2024 to be disbursed in January 2025. Hess seconded. Fredrick – aye; Hess – aye; Stinson – aye; Motion carried.
Hess moved to approve the Allocation of Alcoholic Beverage Tax for December 2024 to be disbursed in January 2025. Stinson seconded. Fredrick – aye; Hess – aye; Stinson – aye; Motion carried.
Stinson moved to approve the Allocation of Motor Vehicle Tax for December 2024 to be disbursed in January 2025. Hess seconded. Fredrick – aye; Hess – aye; Stinson – aye; Motion carried.
Hess moved to acknowledge the Resolution 2025-02: 2025 Mileage Rate of $0.70/mile. Stinson seconded. Fredrick- aye; Hess – aye; Stinson – aye; Motion carried.
Hess moved to approve the Resolution 2025-02: 2025 Mileage Rate. Stinson seconded. Fredrick- aye; Hess – aye; Stinson – aye; Motion carried.
No New Business.
Stinson reported that District 3 is hauling rock, checking roads, and grading.
Hess reported that District 1 is cleaning East and West roads. D1 had 4’ snow drifts. D1 mechanic is out.
Fredrick reported that District 2 is conducting business as usual. D2 is checking roads, as well as sanding and shoveling the courthouse.
